Joyagoo pants and shorts: compare the waist, rise and leg separately

Trouser fit is not a single measurement. Where the waistband sits, the room through the upper part and the length of the leg each change the result. Start with the fit problem you are trying to solve rather than searching for a familiar size label.
Put the waistband in the right place
Decide where you want the garment to sit on your body. Then read what the chart actually measures. A body waist measurement is not the same object as the waistband of a garment laid flat.
If a closure or adjustment is part of the design, identify it separately. A drawstring in a photograph does not tell you the full usable adjustment range. A description of stretch also needs to belong to the actual selected garment rather than a similar-looking one.
For your own comparison, choose trousers that give you a useful reference at the waist. They do not need to be your preferred example for every other dimension.
Follow the leg from the rise to the opening
The rise and inseam answer different questions. Keep their stated endpoints separate. Overall garment length cannot automatically replace either of them.
For shorts, consider where you want the hem to end and how the leg opening fits your intended outfit. For longer trousers, include the shoes you expect to wear. The relationship between hem and shoe is an outfit decision; it is not settled by selecting a size that fits at the waist.
Avoid creating an average from charts that use different methods. If one candidate has a clear inseam and another lists an unexplained length, resolve the unexplained term before making a direct numerical comparison.
Choose details you will actually use
Pocket position and opening matter if you intend to carry something specific. A decorative outline is not a description of capacity. Fastenings, belt loops and visible seams may also affect your preference, but they should not be treated as material or durability information.
If you need a belt, assess that item separately with the accessories guide. Do not assume that one comes with the trousers merely because it appears in an outfit photograph.
Move one exact option forward
A colour change can be easy to notice; a different length or cut option can be easier to miss. Retain both with the Item ID. If the listing offers several garment types, establish whether you have selected the trousers, shorts or another item before treating the displayed amount as relevant to your choice.
FAQ
Can the waist measurement alone decide the size?
It leaves other fit questions unanswered. Compare the rise, leg length and relevant openings as well.
Is the length of trousers I have worn a factory measurement?
No. It describes that garment in its present condition. Use it as your own comparison and keep the measurement method clear.
Open a current shorts product on OG and recheck the waist/length information for the selected option.
